OPPF First Annual High School Poetry Competition
‘Write for Peace’
The mission of OPPF is to promote freedom, justice, dignity, unity and peace around the world. OPPF believes that developing young leaders is very essential to the work of eradicating oppression, discrimination and injustice throughout the world. The OPPF High School Poetry Competition has been established to highlight the ideas of young people.
To participate please submit one unpublished poem of no more than 300 lines that relates to the mission of OPPF.
Suggested submission themes include peace, poverty, gender equality, sustainability, education, and prevention of violence against women and children.
United Nations Awards Ceremony
Awards include 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place Finalists and Five Honorable Mention. All awardees will have the opportunity to read their poems at the OPPF Awards Ceremony held at the United Nations.
